Jazz Ensemble - Improvisation
All the Jazz bands provide an enrichment experience for band students playing saxophone, trombone, trumpet, piano, drums, and guitar. Students work to develop improvisational skills.
The improvisation class performs several times throughout the trimester.
Jazz Ensemble - Big Band
Big Band is an enrichment experience for band students playing saxophone, trombone, trumpet, piano, drums, and guitar. Students will study and perform big band literature from the 1920’s to the present.
The Jazz Ensemble performs several times throughout the year.
10th Grade Jazz Band
10th Grade Jazz Band meets on a voluntary basis before school one or two days each week. It is an enrichment experience for band students playing saxophone, trombone, trumpet, piano, drums, and guitar. Students will study and perform jazz band literature.
The 10th Grade Jazz Band performs several times throughout the year.
